We've done delivery a few times here - it all started when we moved and were hangry after a busy day of lifting and moving and organizing. We popped open Yelp and this place was close by, well priced, and had a great variety.
After that first pizza (which was stellar), this has become our go-to place. The pizza is always well-made, hot and fresh, on time. While pizza is a greasy food, this pizza isn't so greasy it's dripping or leaving massive stains on the box. The crust is thinner than what you might be used to, but it's nice and crisp and not at all difficult to eat. The pizza's are exactly as described in the description on the menu and the sauce, in particular, is very good. Even just a plain cheese pizza has plenty of flavor with that sauce!
Pizza is a simple, humble food and Pizza Whirl does it well. -

This is the only bad review I've given on yelp. I chose to go to this pizza joint after my 12 hour shift at the hospital for their Monday night pizza deal. I went in and ordered a pie with black olives and asked the woman taking care of me if I could get a drink next door while it was being made and that I'd be back in 20 minutes. I went back and the gentleman at the counter had no pizza or my order. They claimed to have gotten so busy in the mean time they forgot about my order. The place was so dead when I walked in that I have a hard time believing they got so busy in 20 minutes to forget my order. Im not sure if this shop is dying after it's initial good run, but service like this is not going to save it. Whoever the chick manager is working tonight, she completely ruined any chance for my day to improve after the day I had at work. Was so pissed that I already waited for the pizza that didn't exist and the manager wouldn't come out and talk to me, that I passed on them offering to make my order. I couldn't/wouldn't wait again.
PS I went to Edison's and they made my pizza in less time that you would've created my order twice. -

Just okay but you have to eat it asap because it doesn't taste good the next day. I don't like their sausage, meatballs, ham and chicken--because they taste like processed meats. Which don't hold a candle amongst any of the local pizza establishments and the West Side Market 500 hundred feet down the street.
My first time in there the House made marinara which is really good normally--the container exploded with bubbles at home 30 minutes later. The owner refused to listen like I was making it up insisting they make it fresh daily. Maybe they do and if that's the case the spoilage was due to bad temperature issues in the storage area.
They gave me a good pizza on my next visit but it took quite a while as the girl had to first call the owner--5-10 minutes wait time. Then the owner wanted to speak with me on the phone...seriously? Yes. The oven baked wings are really good garlic Parmesan style.
If you're in the area and craving a fresh baked pizza fast this is your place. Just don't expect it to taste as good as Citizens Pie, Crust or anywhere else locally. We're spoiled here and it's a great thing! -

I got this delivered and it was fast! The crust was great but my pizza didn't look like the pictures-- no mozzarella on the margarita and ham (not prosciutto) on the bianca. I really wanted to like this place but just can't reckon the missing ingredients. that said I could tell the ingredients were quality and fresh.

This was simply a fantastic experience my very last visit, and each one before have been great as well. Let me tell you how warm and fuzzy I felt after going here on a Friday night post drinks with friends.
You can imagine the wavelengths of my brain are just popping off the charts with the desire for pizza after a few vodka sodas. Like, stop with the clear calorie free liquid, I need SUBSTANCE. Well, pizza lovers of America, substance is what I received!
First I would just like to point out how absolutely charming and caring and thoughtful the entire staff was, from those working on our pizza to Salena, the owner's daughter, who cashed us out. She was super bubbly and accommodating and literally made us feel so at home. She even brought her Pops out to say hello! It was so heart warming to hear about how they started this business on a whim and also how much they truly care about their customer feedback. So seriously, if something is up, just let 'em know!
Now on to the meaty part of this review... no pun intended... or was it?
They had some garlic parm wings that just could not be refused. I gave the menu a gander and said, while yes I am definitely here for pizza... who can say no to wings? They were cooked to the perfect crispy texture, lathered in a delicious butter garlic sauce and sprinkled with the best of the best you guys, fresh parm! Oh my gorsh. Get in my BELLY!
The pizza was awesome too. We got the Frank's BBQ minus some onions on my end which I subbed for grape tomatoes and it turned out so freaking good. And this wasn't just buzzed Danielle talking. I heated this up for lunch the next day and was just as pleased.
As for pricing, you guys, less than $10 for a good sized pie. Certainly filled up both my friend and I with food to spare. Without the wings we may have completed it on round 1, but what I'm saying is that for one person alone the portion is more than enough! Plus you get to see it made right there in front of you. I dig it.
This place will spin you right round baby right round, like a record baby, right round, round round! They don't call it Pizza WHIRL for nothin'!
